Rajasthan: Tension over social media posts in Barmer

JAISALMER: Tension prevailed in Barmer’s Sedwa police station area after a youth posted comments on WhatsApp supporting BJP’s Nupur Sharma. On Monday police diffused the tension by talking to the communities and taking the person in custody.
Similarly, a statement of same nature was posted on the social media in Balotra leading to a tense situation. However, police’s presence of mind managed to control the situation.
