Mumbai: Three drown in sea at Juhu, search operation on

MUMBAI: Three persons drowned in the sea behind Juhu’s JW Marriott Hotel on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Fire Brigade, a search operation was on to rescue them on Tuesday evening.
The drowning incident was reported by lifeguard Manohar Shetty.
According to the BMC, the three drowned persons are Aman Singh (21), Kaustubh Ganesh Gupta (18) and Pratham Ganesh Gupta (16).
“The incident took place at around 3.30pm and was reported by the lifeguard around 4.45pm. It took place behind the JW Marriott Hotel at Juhu Tara Road in Santacruz (West). The search operation by the fire brigade team is in progress. Navy divers have also been mobilized," said an official.
The drowning was designated as a level 1 incident.
This is the first drowning since the onset of the monsoon this year.
