MUMBAI: Taking a dig at the
BJP government’s action against protesters in
Uttar Pradesh, the Shiv Sena on Tuesday asked the party leadership when they will run bulldozers over structures built by China in
Ladakh.
“After a BJP spokesperson insulted
Prophet Muhammad, Muslims across the country took to the streets in protest and condemnation. Riots erupted in cities like Kanpur, Delhi and Prayagraj. Thousands of cases were registered against them and the rioters' houses and shops were immediately bulldozed in retaliation. When will these bulldozers demolish the illegal roads, bridges, buildings erected by China at the border in Ladakh?” the Sena asked in an editorial in Saamna, its mouthpiece.
It said that while the BJP was celebrating its victory on the sixth seat of the Rajya Sabha in Maharashtra, they were running scared in Ladakh where it is most important to win. The Sena added that when China infiltrated into Ladakh, the “Gujarat regiment” was keeping mum.
“Will the enemies on the border retreat after winning more Rajya Sabha seats in Maharashtra, Haryana? Running scared where it is important to win, but it seems to have become a national policy to celebrate the victory of Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections. Fear of CBI, ED is shown to political opponents. Is China going to retreat from Ladakh with this threat? If so, try it. China has infiltrated Ladakh in such a way but the ‘Gujarat Regiment’ has shut its mouth permanently. This is a matter of national security and self-respect,” the Sena said.
The Sena added that the Chanakyas of the BJP who played a masterstroke by winning the sixth seat of the Rajya Sabha in Maharashtra seemed to have missed China’s master stroke in Ladakh.
“China has built an airbase on the eastern Ladakh border. There they have deployed fighter jets, but does the Modi government seem to have any concern about this today? This is an attack by China. The Chanakya mandal, which celebrated the victory of the sixth seat and played a ‘masterstroke’, has missed China’s master stroke, this is surprising,” the Sena said.
