Jaipur: The state human rights commission (
SHRC), taking suo motu cognizance of rampant encroachment on the roads towards
Mehandipur Balaji temple and no parking space for the vehicles of devotees, issued notice to the district collector of
Dausa and ADG police traffic on Monday. The commission questioned the lack of parking space for the vehicles and no system for a hassle-free entry and exit from the temple for devotees.
“There is no system in place for the smooth flow of traffic from the main gate of the temple to the bus stand,” asked the commission. The commission said the live electric wires on the temple premises could lead to some major accidents and still the power department has failed to take any remedial measures.
The commission has directed the ADG (traffic), Jaipur to implement one-way traffic on the main road. Besides, SHRC also raised questions in case devotees fell sick, what is the system in place to provide immediate medical assistance and the number of people employed for the same. TNN
