Give us ED for 2 days, even Devendra Fadnavis will vote for us: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut

Sanjay Raut
MUMBAI: A day after the Shiv Sena lost the election for the sixth Rajya Sabha seat to the BJP, its MP Sanjay Raut said on Sunday that if the Enforcement Directorate was given to his party for two days even BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis would vote for the Sena. In his weekly column ‘Rok Thok’ in Saamna, Raut alleged that central agencies had tilted the scales in the BJP’s favour.
“Even the BJP knows what we are talking about. This issue is over, we have won one seat and lost one. This doesn’t mean that an atomic bomb has exploded. There have been similar results in many states. The Congress has won in Rajasthan, in Haryana the BJP and the EC played a foul game and defeated Ajay Maken (Cong). We know how calls were going from the home department to the EC in the middle of the night. We know what discussions took place about getting a vote disqualified,” he said. He alleged that the fact that the BJP was using the central machinery to win the elections had come to the fore again in Maharashtra and Haryana.
“How many crores were smoked for the RS and MLC polls? There are bets going on about this,” he wrote, adding, “We also have agencies, but we don’t have the ED. If the ED is given to us for 48 hours, the BJP will also vote for us.”
Meanwhile, citing the Sena’s ties with former deputy CM Gopinath Munde, he said the party was worried about the BJP sidelining his daughter Pankaja ahead of the MLC polls in the state.
