It's been an incredible few days for Stormers No 8 Evan Roos.

On Saturday, he scored a try as the Cape-based franchise secured their place in the United Rugby Championship (URC) final with a last-gasp win 17-15 win over Ulster.

Just minutes after the final whistle, Roos was included in the 43-man Springbok squad announced by Springbok coach, Jacques Nienaber.

Then on Monday, Roos, who last week made the cut for the URC Dream Team, was named Next-Gen Player of the Season and voted Fans' Player of the Season.

Roos has had a stand-out campaign for the Stormers, proving himself a destructive ball carrier with more successful carries (126) and defenders beaten (49) than any other player in the competition over the 18 rounds of the regular season.

He carried that form into the play-offs, putting on a man of the natch display as the Stormers overcame Edinburgh Rugby in their quarter-final clash and was at his barnstorming best against Ulster.

Roos' award continues a strong showing from the Stormers in the URC Awards, with Leolin Zas taking home the Top try scorer prize and five players from the franchise included in the Dream Team.
