Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday contradicted Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the need to rewrite Indian history.
Talking to media persons here, Nitish said, "history is history, how it can be rewritten, I can not understand."
Last week, while releasing the book 'Maharana, the crusader of thousand years', Amit Shah reportedly said, "no one can stop us writing history afresh."
Nitish was asked about Amit Shah's claims that Indian history glorified Mughal emperors and not Indian rulers to which the Bihar chief minister said in Hindi, "are bhai, itihas to itihas hai, itihas toh koi badal nahi sakta hai (history is history as it is, how can you rewrite? how can it be changed?).
