Dip in new cases after two days of spike in Nagpur

NAGPUR: The region recorded 59 new cases including 40 from Nagpur, eight from Gadchiroli, seven from Bhandara, two each from Wardha and Akola on Sunday. This was a substantial fall in new cases as compared to last two days. This month, the region has recorded 364 cases and 129 recoveries.
Nagpur reported 40 cases from over 2,300 tests while Gadchiroli recorded 8 cases from more than 490 tests during the day.
The active case tally increased to 283 including 186 from Nagpur.
Besides Nagpur, active cases are from Bhandara (9), Wardha (8), Gondia (1), Chandrapur (17), Gadchiroli (13), Akola (13), Amravati (8), Yavatamal (1), and Washim (16) and Buldhana (11).
Over 4900 tests were across Vidarbha.
Bulk of the active cases are now from Nagpur division comprising six districts. This indicate the spread of the disease is yet to affect other districts in the region.
