Speeding biker kills farmer

Rajkot: A farmer was killed after a sports bike hit him near Dhrol town of Jamnagar district on Sunday. Locals said one of the three youngsters racing on their individual bikes on the highway crashed into Shantilal Mungra’s scooter when the latter was returning home from his farm and crossing the highway.
The speeding bike hit Mungra’s vehicle near Jaiva village and the victim got flung nearly 15feet in the air from the impact. He died during treatment in the hospital. The biker, who is yet to be identified, also suffered injuries and was taken to a private hospital in Rajkot, said Dhrol police.
