JAIPUR: Due to strong surface winds blowing over the city on Saturday morning, landing of one
flight at the
Jaipur International Airport was delayed, said officials.
The
Air Traffic Control had issued a local standby alert on Saturday. The
ATC said that strong surface winds with 25 knots gusting speed was witnessed over the city between 8.30 am till 10 am.
"In an ATC alert, all departments of the airport are put on standby in case any emergency happens. Saturday's alert was a routine alert and operations did not get impacted much, except delay in landing for one flight. Till clearance was given the flight was making rounds in the air and later it safely landed," said an official spokesperson of the Jaipur International Airport.
