England vs Italy (ENG vs ITA) UEFA Nations League Highlights: It was heartbreak for England the last time they played Italy in the Euro final at Wembley Stadium. They would have loved to avenge that loss on penalties but a goalless draw in this Nations League match meant their wait will continue. The Three Lions could have benefitted from home support but no fans, barring a few hundred school children, were allowed inside the Molineux. England were being punished for the Wembly final fracas that saw fans without tickets gatecrashing the stands.
The teams were also playing their third Nations League group match in seven days, with Italy having drawn with Germany and beaten Hungary at home and England having lost against Hungary before drawing with Germany. Fatigue seems to have caught up with both sides as they looked poor in the second half. The match ended 0-0.
England (4-2-3-1) Ramsdale; James, Tomori, Maguire, Trippier; Ward-Prowse, Rice; Sterling, Mount, Grealish; Abraham.
Italy (4-3-3) Donnarumma; Di Lorenzo, Gatti, Acerbi, Dimarco; Frattesi, Locatelli, Toneli; Pessina, Scammaca, Pellegrini.

The match ended in a lacklustre draw. England will have to wait to avenge their Euro final defeat on penalties against Italy.
Dimarco and Pessina come off. And Southgate sends on Tomori, who plays for AC Milan, to help the defence.
There is a sudden sense of urgency from the England side with only five minutes of regular time left in the second half. Jared Bowen tries to dribble his way past the Italian defence but he hits a wall.
Substitutions have slowed down this England vs Italy tie. Players looking scrappy in the second half. No real goal threat so far. So much for my 1-1 score prediction.
Only Belgium, Turkey and Romania are on course to win tonight. Other games are headed towards a draw with 10 minutes of regular time left.
Kane finally comes into the picture. A quick one-two with Sterling in the box presents him with a chance. But it flies over the bar. Scores remain 0-0. And Southgate takes off Sterling and sends on Saka.
Saka is getting ready to come on with just 15 mins left in the game. He should inject some pace into this English side that has been looking a bit lacklustre in the second half.
Sterling gives away the ball to Pessina. Italy on the break. Pessina tries to find someone ahead but the pass goes straight to the keeper.
We have the first substitutions in the games. Abraham comes off for Kane and Rice for Phillips. Oh! And Bowen comes on for Mount. The Chelsea man has had a good first half. That must be disappointing for him.
Meanwhile, Netherlands vs Poland is heating up. Poland went into halftime with a goal ahead. In the second half, Zielinski found the net to make it 2-0. But the Netherlands aren't ones to give up so easily. They quickly score two to make it 2-2. Klaasen and Dumfries on the scoresheet for the Orange.
A dull opening few minutes in the second half in comparison with the first. Who will break this deadlock? My bet is on Kane coming off the bench to score the winner.
Locatelli drives forward. He has two options to pass. He goes right but the chance is snuffed.
Second half is underway. Let's hope to see some goals, if not from both sides, at least from one.
Both sides had their chances but it was England who had the better ones as they came close to scoring on more than one occasion. And it is 1-1 in the Germany vs Hungary game.
Pessina forces Ramsdale to make a save! Italy has been looking dangerous in the last 10 mins. They have been making their plays from the right and finding players inside the box.
Scamacca comes close to giving Italy the lead! Collects the ball inside the box, turns and smashes it into the stands.
The Three Lions are still probing this Italian defence for an opening. After Mount's shot came off the bar, England haven't really come close to taking the lead though there were a few half chances. Italy hope to take this to halftime with no change in the scoreline.
We are at the 30 min mark and the scores are still nil-nil. England has been the better of the two sides so far. There will be goals. I can feel it. 😁
Grealish with a toe poke from inside the box but it's blocked. Grealish has only one international goal to his name, which came against Andora.
Ramsdale with a difficult save. A cross came in from the right into the box and it kindly fell to the Italian but Ramsdale leaps to his right and ends up saving with his legs.
