Wife, in-laws arrested for man’s ‘murder’ in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Police on Friday arrested three persons in connection with the alleged murder of a man, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a rented house in Guwahati on Thursday.
Those arrested have been identified as the deceased’s wife, Malati Das, her mother, Minu, and sister, Dolly.
The deceased, Anupam Nath, who was working as a food delivery agent, was living with his wife in a rented house at Naharani path in the Hatigaon area of the city for more than one year.
His neighbours on Thursday found him lying on the floor of the house and informed the police. Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. The mother of the deceased has lodged a complaint with the Hatigaon police station accusing his wife, mother-in-law and sister-in-law of killing him.
