
West Bengal Uccha Madhyamil Result 2022 Updates: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education declared the HS or class 12 results today. The results were declared via a press conference at 11 am. All those students who appeared for these examinations can check their respective results at the official websites- wbchse.nic.in and wbresults.nic.in.
The result can also be accessed via SMS. Students have to SMS WB12 registration number to 56070, 5676750 or 56263. The results will be available on websites, SMS, and apps only after 11 am.
In 2021, the West Bengal government had announced the cancellation of class 10 and 12 results due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in the state. A special evaluation criterion was formed to calculate the class 12 results last year. Of the 8,19,202 candidates who were to appear for in last year’s class 12 board exams, 97.69 per cent had passed. The pass percentage was 97.70 per cent among both boys and girls.

West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) on Friday announced higher secondary (class 12) examination results with a record 88.44 per cent candidates clearing the exams. The pass percentage among male students is 90.19 per cent while the same for female students is 86.58 per cent. Read more here.
Districts that recorded over 90 per cent pass percentage are East Midnapore, West Midnapore, Jhargram, Purulia, Kalimpong, South 24 Parganas and Bankura. The pass percentage among students belonging to minority communities is 85.59 per cent while the same for students belonging to SC/ST communities is 88.35 per cent
Four students came third after scoring 496 marks (99.2 per cent). They are Rohin Sen from Patha Bhawan in Kolkata, Soham Das from Hooghly Collegiate School in Hooghly district, Avik Das from Katwa Kashiram Das Institution in East Burdwan district, and Parichay Pari Jalchak Nateswari Netaji Vidyayatan in West Midnapore district.
Adisha Deb Sharma from Dinahata Soni Debi Jain High School in Chooch Behar district in north Bengal topped the exam after scoring 498 marks out of total 500 (99.6 per cent). Sayandeep Samanta from Jalchak Nateswari Netaji Vidyayatan in West Midnapore district came came second after scoring 497 marks (99.4 per cent).

A total of 7.4 lakh students had registered for the West Bengal HS exams 2022. Of which, over 96 per cent of the students appeared in the exams. A total of 636875 students have been declared pass. The overall pass percentage this year has been recorded to be 88.44 per cent.
The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education will conduct the HS or class 12 exams 2023. The exams will begin on March 14 to March 27. Exams will be conducted based on the full syllabus. The board will no longer conduct exams based on rationalized syllabus, which means that student will have to study the complete syllabus instead of the 30 per cent reduced syllabus.

In 2021, commerce overtook the science stream to become the best performing stream, however, the margin between the two was very small. In both streams, more than 99 per cent of kids cleared the exam. Before 2021, science was unbeatable year after year. In 2020 as well students from the science stream delivered better results. Arts continues to be the worst performer.

As per the released notification by the board, the schools can collect Uccha Madhyamik mark sheets and pass certificates from distribution camps from June 20 onwards. After that, students can visit their schools to collect these documents.
