STF arrests man with 365g heroin

Ludhiana: The Ludhiana unit of Special Task Force (STF) arrested a man with 365 gm heroin. According to the STF officials, the accused used to procure heroin from a smuggler of Ghora colony.
The accused, identified as Randhir Singh Rana, 35, of Bhamiya road, was arrested from a checkpost established in Mundiyan Kalan area.
Inspector Harbans Singh, STF in-charge, said the accused confessed that he was a truck driver and started peddling drugs three years ago. He procured heroin from Ghora colony and was going to sell the same among his customers, when the STF nabbed him at a checkpost. Randhir himself was a drug addict.
Heroin, drug money seized
Model Town police arrested Paramjeet Kaur, 50, his son Rajveer Singh, 30, and daughter Jasveer Kaur, 32, with 25gm heroin and Rs 2.50 lakh drug money. The police also seized their Toyota Innova car in which they were travelling with the heroin. ASI Jarnail Singh, in-charge, Atam Park police post, said they arrested the accused from a checkpost in Model Town market. The entire family was into drug peddling for long.
