Coimbatore: Man rapes 65-year-old woman, held

COIMBATORE: The Negamam police arrested a 24-year-old man for raping a 65-year-old woman on Wednesday.
The woman was tending cows in a farmland when M Nagaraj, 24, of Pollachi, a labourer, dragged her to a secluded place and raped her, police said.
The woman informed her husband about the incident and he alerted the Negamam police. The woman was taken to the Pollachi government hospital. A police team visited the woman at the hospital and registered a complaint.
Nagaraj, a married man, was drunk when he raped the woman, a police officer said.
