Dr Rachael Mathai passes away

Thiruvananthapuram: Former BJP national executive committee member and former General Hospital superintendent Dr Rachael Mathai died here on Thursday. She was 97.
In his condolence message BJP state president K Surendran said that she was noted for her interventions in the issues related to women and elderly population. She had also served as the superintendent of Women and Children’s Hospital. Born on November 23, 1925, as the daughter of N P Mathai and Thankamma, she was also part of the BJP national executive committee for more than 10 years.
