  • Jub Jub has announced that Uyajola 9/9 will return to TV with a new season.
  • In December 2021, the channel suspended him after allegations of rape were leveled against him.
  • However, the channel says he has fulfilled what they required of him to return.

Controversial infidelity exposing TV show, Uyajola 9/9 is set for an even bigger and bolder return to TV screens in its upcoming season.

The show will, once again, be hosted by Molemo 'Jub Jub' Maarohanye on Moja Love. The musician announced the news on social media.

"Back by popular demand. Beng’geke ngin’yeke nje (I could not just leave you)," he wrote on Twitter.

Moja TV channels head Bokani Moyo confirmed the news to Channel24, saying, "Moja Love confirms that Jub Jub is back and shooting Uyajola 9/9."

In December 2021, the channel suspended Jub Jub after media personalities Amanda du Pont and Masechaba Khumalo accused the Ndikhokhele hitmaker of rape. At the time, the Moja Love said it did not "condone any gender-based violence in any way and under any circumstances."

However, Moyo said they brought him back after he went through "stringent sensitivity training" as was required of him by the channel.

"He has also apologised for his utterances, especially to the mother of his child, Kelly Khumalo. Jub Jub has requested that he deals with personal matters privately and has assured us that this will not interfere with his work, and as the channel, we respect that."

"Viewers can expect Jub Jub at his best as he exposes extramarital affairs and brings abomakwapheni (concubines) to light," Moyo added.

In 2012, Jub Jub was sentenced to 25 years in jail for murder, attempted murder, and other related offences. The murder conviction was overturned in 2014, and he was released on parole in 2017 after serving four years, one month, and one day of his reduced 10-year sentence.
