2 friends lose phones to snatchers

Ludhiana: A group of robbers snatched two mobile phones from two friends at gunpoint in Sector 39 of Moti Nagar area. One of the robbers at first had borrowed a mobile phone from one of the victims on the pretext of making a call.
The Moti Nagar police on Wednesday lodged an FIR under Sections 379-B (2) (snatching with hurt, wrongful restraint of fear of hurt) and 34 (Act done by several persons in furtherance of common object) of the IPC on the complaint of Ravinder Kumar, 23, of Palam City of Kohara. Inspector Kulwant Singh, SHO, Moti Nagar police station, said a case has been filed against unidentified accused. tnn
