Biotech Startup Expo 2022 news live updates: Biotech Startup Expo will strengthen 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' movement, says PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that Biotech Startup Expo 2022 will strengthen 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' movement in the sector while inaugurating the event at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. He also said that India's 'bio economy' has grown eight times in last 8 years. Union Ministers Jitendra Singh, Piyush Goyal and Dharmendra Pradhan were also present at the event. According to the Prime Minister's Office, the Biotech Startup Expo - 2022 is a two-day event being held on June 9 and 10.

China shares fall on Shanghai's new COVID curbs
Chinese shares fell on Thursday, as parts of Shanghai began imposing new COVID-19 restrictions, with growth stocks leading declines on profit booking. The CSI300 index fell 0.6%, to 4,193.01 by the end of the morning session, while the Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.5% to 3,247.86. The Hang Seng index dropped 0.2% to 21,961.60. China’s trade growth rebounded in May after anti-virus restrictions that shut down Shanghai and other industrial centers began to ease. Exports surged 16.9% over a year ago to $308.3 billion, up from April’s 3.7% growth, a customs agency statement said Thursday. Imports rose gained 4.1% to $229.5 billion, accelerating from the previous month’s 0.7%.
