Kolkata: Netaji Subhas Bose Road turns one-way for repairs

KOLKATA: Netaji Subhas Road to the west of Lal Dighi in BBD Bag, the only road in Dalhousie Square that allowed two-way traffic, will temporarily turn into a one-way road with vehicles allowed to travel only from south to north to enable KMC to repair damaged road surface and brick sewer at the junction of Government Place (West) and Kiran Shankar Roy Road.
South-bound vehicles of NS Road will have to take BBD Bag North, BBD Bag East and Old Court House Street. South bound vehicles coming from Government Place North and Red Cross Place will be diverted from Red Cross Place-Government Place North crossing to Old Court House Street.
Similarly, south bound vehicles exiting Kiran Shankar Roy Road will be diverted further east along Government Place North and Old Court House Street.
NS Road north-bound vehicles can avail either Auckland Road, Strand Road, Fairlie Place or travel via Government Place East, Old Court House Street, BBD Bag (South) before taking NS Road from the Netaji Statue and All India Radio.
