Senior city IPS officers now shifted to Thane

Thane: In a major reshuffle, the state government has transferred and promoted couple of senior police officials to Thane city police. List of transfers and promotions list was released in the multiple notifications on Wednesday. Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Traffic Balasaheb Patil has been transferred as Superintendent of Police (SP) Palghar. While SP Palghar Datta Shinde has been promoted to Additional commissioner to Thane city police for east region. P Ugale is promoted to Additional CP west region of Thane city police. Sanjay Jadhav who was posted as SP state highway has been promoted to additional commissioner (admin) Thane city. AD Kumbhare has been transferred to additional commissioner security Mumbai. An order to transfer Datta Shinde and P Ugale on April 21 was abruptly stayed due to alleged political pressure. DCP Avinash Ambure has not been transferred. TNN
