Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address mass rallies in Gujarat on June 10, 18

SURAT/VADODARA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Gujarat on June 10 and 18 and inaugurate and launch a number of projects including a multi-speciality hospital and address two public gatherings in Navsari and Vadodara districts.
PM will launch and inaugurate developmental projects worth Rs 3,000 crore at Khudvel in Chikhli taluka of Navsari district on Friday. At the event, Modi will be addressing a gathering of over 3 lakh tribals from Navsari, Valsad, Dang, Tapi and Surat districts. Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel will also attend the event.
The major projects to be inaugurated by PM include Astol water supply scheme and the stone laying ceremony of Navsari civil hospital. “Astol water supply project was launched by the PM four years ago and now he is inaugurating it. Through this project, water from Daman Ganga dam will be supplied to tribal villages located on top of hills,” said Naresh Patel, cabinet minister for tribal development. A dome to accommodate around 3.5 lakh people is being erected at the venue in Navsari. The event is scheduled from 10 am to noon.
After the event, Modi will inaugurate Nirali Multispecialty Hospital and A M Naik Healthcare Campus at Ganesh Sisodra village near Navsari city. The hospital project was founded by A M Naik, group chairman of L&T.
Teams of the Special Protection Group are camping in Navsari to review security arrangements for the PM.
On June 18, the prime minister is scheduled to address 4 lakh people at a gathering on the outskirts of Vadodara city, after holding a roadshow from the airport to the venue near Sardar Estate, municipal commissioner Shalini Agrawal said.
Modi will arrive at Vadodara on June 18 morning after offering prayers at the Mahakali temple atop Pavagadh Hills in the neighbouring Panchmahal district, said Dr Hitendra Patel, chairman of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation's standing committee. “After the 4 km-long roadshow, the prime minister will address nearly 4 lakh people, including beneficiaries of various government schemes, such as rural housing, at Leprosy Hospital ground near Sardar Estate,” he said, who along with Agrawal and local MP Ranjan Bhatt visited the ground to take stock of the preparations.
