Performing for Queen Elizabeth is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and Alicia Keys did not take one second of it for granted.
The musician was part of the line-up at the Platinum Party at the Palace on Saturday and has shared what went on behind the scenes leading up to her performance.
In the video, Keys reveals that it's the first time she has ever performed with a 75-piece orchestra while rehearsing with them.
The video shows how she chose her outfit, which in the end was a "cape" by Moschino that she said felt "the most royal and powerful" to wear.
Fans can also see that the Grammy winner's husband, Swizz Beatz, and their two sons, Egypt and Genesis, were there to support her.
"Epic night at the jubilee! Celebrating the Queen and all the Queens," Keys wrote in the caption alongside the video.
"FYI: Every song was requested personally by the Queen. Even EMPIRE," she added.
