Advocates are upset by MP’s remarks

Mysuru: Upset with MP Pratap Simha’s remarks, questioning former CM Siddaramaiah’s qualification to comment on the economic condition of the country since he was an advocate, a section of lawyers in Hunsur demanded action against the former.
They urged the bar association to exert pressure on the competent authorities to initiate action against him. They alleged that Simha’s remarks amounted to insulting the profession.
In Hunsur town, advocates, who held a demonstration protesting the MP’s remarks, met former law minister and senior BJP leader S Suresh Kumar, who was in the town to campaign for the council elections. Suresh Kumar informed the advocates that he had issued a clarification on Simha’s remarks in the civil court. TNN
