JMM, Cong approach EC against Nadda rally

Ranchi: A joint delegation of JMM and Congress on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission demanding that the expense incurred for hosting BJP national president J P Nadda’s rally in Ranchi on Sunday be added to the party’s Mandar bypoll candidate’s poll expense account or case of model code of violation be slapped against the party leaders. Congress spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan told reporters that they are hopeful that ECI would take appropriate action.
“BJP must come clear about yesterday’s tribal rally by Nadda in Ranchi. If it is a poll rally, then the entire expense must be added to BJP candidate’s poll expense. If not, then we demand that cases of model code of violation be slapped on BJP leaders,” said Ranjan. BJP, on the other hand, snubbed ruling coalition stating that it is rattled by tribals inclination towards BJP.
