CRPF jawan was arrested for allegedly kidnapping his own brother-in-law (sala) for ransom in Nalanda district on Sunday night. His other accomplices were also arrested.

Shibli Nomani said on Monday that one Sanju Devi of Panchsheel locality under Harnaut police station area in Nalanda had lodged a police complaint about the kidnapping of her 27-year-old son Shivam by unknown persons on June 2 when he had gone to the local market for some work.
She said her son’s kidnappers demanded a ransom a Rs50 lakh from an unknown cellphone number for his safe release. She said they again called her from the same unknown number on June 4 and this time demanded at least Rs25 lakh to be delivered at Barh railway station in Patna district immediately or threatened to kill Shivam.
