83-year-old man found hanging

Kolkata: An 83-year-old man, Satyendranath Biswas, resident of Thakurpukur was found hanging from an iron rod attached to the ceiling of his room on the top floor of a two-storied house on Sunday night.
Police said a suicide note was recovered from the house in which Biswas blamed no one for his death. He was taken to the Vidyasagar State General Hospital in Behala, where he was declared dead on arrival.
According to police, the man was suffering from multiple ailments and was under severe depression. Cops have sent the body for post-mortem examination to know the approximate time of death. tnn
