A1 grade: Second best show in 12 yrs

Ahmedabad: The number of students scoring over 90% in the Secondary School Certificate Examination was 12,090, which was the second best in the last 12 years. In 2021, when the board had given mass promotions, the number of students scoring above 90% was 17,186.
However, the board officials said that the A1 count of 12,090 is the best in regular examinations. The grading was first introduced in 2011. Ahmedabad, Surat and Rajkot together had more than 4,000 A1 grade students. Surat had the maximum 2,532 followed by Rajkot at 1,561.
