Daltonganj: Former Bihar CM and RJD supremo
Lalu Prasad, who is currently out on bail in fodder scam case, on Monday afternoon reached
Daltonganj to appear before a civil court here in connection with an old case related to violation of model code of conduct in 2009.
Lalu reached Chiyanki by a chopper and was accompanied by senior party workers Jai Prakash Yadav and Bhola Yadav.
Lalu’s is supposed to appear in Daltonganj civil court on June 8, said state RJD president
Sanjay Singh, adding, “He will appear for a case pertaining to a model code of conduct violation in 2009. Lalu had a campaign programme at Gobind high school in Garhwa in 2009.”
Sanjay said, “Lalu will be appearing in the court of the first class judicial magistrate which is also the special MP
MLA court in Daltonganj. Although the case was registered in Garhwa, it is to be heard in Daltonganj as such cases are centralised now.”
