Having completed over 3,000 yacht sales around Asia, Simpson Marine regularly attends most of the leading yacht and boat shows in the region and in Thailand has been a regular supporter of the annual Pattaya Boat Shows and Thailand Yacht Shows.

With the Thailand Yacht Show 2022 taking place in Pattaya for the first time from 9-12 June, Steven Howard of TravelNewsAsia.com sat down with Howard Prime, Country Manager - Thailand at Simpson Marine, to ask him what plans the company has for the yacht show.

In this interview, filmed over the internet on 2 June 2022, Howard tells us which and how many yachts Simpson Marine will be taking to the show - including two beauties that will be making their regional premieres, how the company plans to get people involved and out on the water, and explains a little about what the Simpson Marine Academy is all about and what it will mean to those in Thailand.

Simpson Marine has not attended a boat show in Thailand since January 2020 and Howard tells us how the pandemic has affected their marketing budget, how this year's budget compares to pre-pandemic budgets and what Simpson Marine aims to get from each of the different boat shows that it attends.

Editor's note: As the above video interview was conducted over the internet, I would like to apologise that the audio and visual quality are not up to the same HD/UHD quality that they normally would be. Hopefully it won't be too long until we are once again conducting exclusive video interviews in person, but for now we have to make do with what we have. Thank you.
