130kg cannabis worth Rs 40 lakh seized in Greater Noida, 3 held

GREATER NOIDA: Three people have been arrested with over 130kg cannabis worth Rs 40 lakh from Knowledge Park area in Greater Noida, officials said on Monday. The cannabis was brought from Odisha and was to be sold in Delhi-NCR.
It was a combined operation of the district police and Noida unit of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UPSTF).
“Our team has been working on active drug syndicates which have been supplying narcotics at paying guests accommodation and hostels in Greater Noida. On Sunday evening, the Noida unit of STF received a tip-off about the movement of some miscreants after which a suspicious Nissan Sunny car, parked near Pari Chowk metro station, was checked,” said additional superintendent of police (STF) Raj Kumar Mishra. Police seized the cannabis and arrested three people in the car.
