Gujarat Board class X result 2022: 65.18% clear exam, 4.54% more than 2020

AHMEDABAD: The class X result of Gujarat Board this year was 65.18% which is 4.54% on the higher side as compared to 2020. However, this year the number of students securing over 90% marks has seen a remarkable increase. This year 12,090 students got 90%, an increase of 1,607 students as compared to 2020.
In 2021, the board had given mass promotion.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board on Monday declared the results for SSC. Of the 7.8 lakh regular students who appeared for the examination, only 5.04 lakh cleared their examination which was a pass out per cent of 65.18%.
While of the 1.40 lakh repeaters, who appeared for the examination, only 30.75% cleared their examination.
Girls have once again showed that they were much better than the boys. The pass out percentage of girls was 11.74% more than that of the boys. The success ratio of girls was 71.66 per cent, while that of the boys was only 59.92 per cent.
According to board officials, 87.084 students failed in one subject, while 1.01 lakh students failed to clear their examination in two subjects. These students will be allowed to take the re-test which while be held later this year.
Among the districts, Surat had the highest pass percentage of 75.64% while the lowest passing percentage was of Patan (54.29%). However, this year the number of schools getting 100% result was 294 as compared to 281 in 2020 and 336 in 2019.
