Gujarat: Old man critical after beating

RAJKOT: A 70-year-old man was battling for life after being hit on the head with an iron pipe by a man who assaulted him for a flimsy reason.
The victim Kirit Shah, who lives in Sanidhya Apartment in Nageshwar area, was out for evening walk when he met Abhay alias Montu Vyas who also lives there. When Shah began talking about religious discourse, Vyas, who is hot-headed, got agitated and hit Shah thrice on the head with a pipe.
"Vyas was arrested in a murder case too around 12 years ago," said GM Hadiya of Gandhigram police station.
