CHANDIGARH: An 85-year-old man crossing the road with his
grandson was killed after an unknown vehicle hit him in a hit-and-run on the road dividing sectors 44 and 45 on Saturday night.

Kasturi Lal were going to Sector 44 market. "He was walking behind me. As I crossed the road, I heard a loud sound. When I looked back, I found my grandfather lying in a pool of blood. Passersby told me an unknown hit him and sped away," Lal was taken to Government Multi-specialty Hospital, Sector 16, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. CCTV footage to secure clues about the driver.
On March 15, a 45-year-old man riding on a scooter was killed on the road dividing sectors 9 and 17.
