Disney has hired Mark Bozon to lead the company in the metaverse segment. The entertainment behemoth has big ambitions in metaverse and Mark will be accountable for strategizing the company’s path in this area.

At Disney, Mark will build a team that will work on interconnected customer experiences across immersive new storytelling canvases. Further, he will work with creative, technology, design, and strategy teams at Disney.

Hired by Mike White (senior VP of Next Generation Storytelling and Consumer Experiences), Mark has previously worked at Apple.

On May 21, Mark announced that he was leaving Apple through a tweet that said: “Here it goes: After 12 amazing years I say goodbye to Apple. I’m headed to an absolute dream job and can’t wait to share more soon. A heartfelt thank you to my coworkers, as well as the incredibly talented devs that make the App Store & Arcade the success it is. It was an honor.”

Prior to Apple Mark was a freelance games designer and producer. He was also IGN’s Nintendo editor.
