Punjab: Rahul Gandhi to visit slain singer Sidhu Moosewala's family on Tuesday

BATHINDA: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is expected to visit slain singer Sidhu Moosewala's family on Tuesday to condole his killing.
Moosewala had accompanied to then president of Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu and minister Amrinder Singh Raja Warring in meeting Rahul Gandhi at Delhi after he (Moosewala) joined Congress on December 3, 2021.
He was introduced to Rahul Gandhi as youth icon with millions of fans.
Before Rahul Gandhi's visit, Congress leader and former minister in Rajasthan Sachin Pilot visited the bereaved family of Sidhu Moosewala on Monday. He said: "it is tragic how our leader was killed. An atmosphere of threat is being propagated in the state repetitively. Such an incident happened to instill fear in people. Drug mafias, terrorists, gangsters are getting a foothold in Punjab. Central and state government should probe Sidhu Moosewala's killing and take strict action".
