Johnny Depp's industry comeback is in motion.
A rep for Depp confirmed to E! News that the actor is releasing a new album next month with guitarist Jeff Beck.
According to The Guardian, the confirmation comes after Beck announced the project's upcoming release date during a performance – which Depp took part in – in the UK.
"I met this guy five years ago, and we've never stopped laughing since. We actually made an album. I don't know how it happened. It will be out in July," Beck reportedly told the crowd.
Beck and Depp have recently taken the stage together numerous times in the UK, with the Pirates of the Caribbean actor making his first appearance during a concert in Sheffield on 29 May.
Depp's performances prevented him from being present in court in Northern Virginia when a jury sided with him, finding that his ex-wife, Amber Heard, defamed him in an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in December 2018.
Following the verdict, Heard's attorney Elaine Charlson Bredehoft shared that her client plans to appeal the case. "She has some excellent grounds for it," Bredehoft said during a recent appearance on NBC's Today show.
