Mangaluru: Hard work definitely pays, said
Dr Nibraz Ul Haq Omar, who has stood tenth in the NEET PG. He hails from
Kasaragod in Kerala, and is residing in the city. He graduated from the Father
Muller Medical College.
He told TOI: “Though my family and friends were confident that I would perform well, I was scared to check my results, as we were expecting them on June 20. It was only after my mother insisted, that I checked, and was happy that I secured the 10th rank.”
Interestingly, this is Dr Nibraz’s second attempt at the test. During his last attempt in September 2021, his ranking was around 10,000, and his mother said that he should try again the following year, and attain a good rank. Accordingly, he worked hard, and took several mock tests on the Marrow platform, in which he performed well.
He has also secured the 59th rank in INI-CET, in May 2022, and is more oriented toward general medicine or radiology, at an institute in Delhi or Mumbai.
He is the son of Dr Moideen Kunhi M I, orthopaedician and managing director of Aishal Medicity Kanhangad and Naseema O U, a homemaker. His younger brothers are Nihad Ul Haq Omar, who is a third-year MBBS student at Father Muller Medical College and Nishath, a class VIII student.
