Stones pelted at BJP leader’s house, car

Vadodara: Miscreants pelted stones at the house and the car of the BJP president of the municipal ward 12 in the Atladara area of the city in the wee hours of Saturday. The incident took place allegedly after he reprimanded two men for creating trouble in the area.
BJP ward 12 president Raju Thakkar has stated in a FIR registered with Manjalpur police that a rickshaw driver had complained to him that two men, Sunil Shinde and Tarun Yadav, used to trouble people and were involved in illegal activities. Shinde and Yadav ran an omelette handcart near Madhavnagar.

Thakkar has claimed that he went to meet Shinde and Yadav around 11.30pm on Friday, but when he was speaking to them, they walked away.
Thakkar claimed that a friend of the duo, Sujal Patel, was present at the cart and Thakkar asked him to speak to the duo and ask them to stop doing illegal activities at the cart.
Around 2.30am on Saturday, Shinde and Yadav came to Thakkar’s residence and started shouting abuses. Thakkar alleged that when he did not come out of his residence, Shinde and Yadav started throwing stones at his house and the SUV car.
Thakkar said that the SUV that he used was registered in the name of his daughter. The SUV’s windscreen was broken in the incident.
Thakkar said that he later came to know that the accused wanted to set the SUV on fire. He named Shinde, Yadav and Patel as accused in the offence.
