Two nabbed with ganja, poppy husk

Ludhiana: Khanna police have arrested a Bhutan national after it recovered ganja from his possession. The accused has been identified as Amosh Sanwar of Lachu Taravillage, Samste district in Bhutan, now resident of Mehru village in Kapurthala district.
Police said a team had set up a check post opposite Pristine Mall in Khanna to look for suspicious persons and vehicles.
They added that during checking police stopped the accused and on checking 1kg of ‘ganja’ was recovered from him.
Meanwhile, Macchiwara police arrested a person after it recovered 30kg poppy husk and 250 grams opium from his possession. The accused was identified as Gurwinder Singh of Punian village in Samrala, now at Garhi Tarkhana in Machhiwara Sahib. tnn
