KALYAN: Amidst the tussle between the Maha Vikas Aghadi and the BJP for the election of the sixth seat of Rajya Sabha, where the votes of each independent MLA are becoming important and both are trying to woo independent MLAs to vote for the candidate in between this the Kalyan Rural assembly MLA, Pramod (Raju) Patil, the only Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s MLA on Sunday said, "Nobody needs to worry about me. I will do whatever Raj Saheb will order. I am a man, not a horse.”
Earlier, it was speculated that Patil is in touch with Thane-based one strong politician and hence he had gone not reachable to other party's leader till Rajya Sabha election.
On Sunday, however, Patil clarified that he will only follow order of his party president Raj Thackeray during Rajya Sabha election.
In a statement to the media, Patil also hinted that in past he remained neutral during several elections on the instruction of Raj saheb and this time also he will do the same whatever his party chief will order.
It is to recall that as Maharashtra gearing up for polls for six Rajya Sabha seat and votes of each independent MLAs and second preference votes will play a vital role to determine the winners.
Four candidates from the MVA and three from BJP filed nominations for the Rajya Sabha polls. As additional candidates are in the fray elections will be held. It is clear that the state will witness a tough battle between Shiv Sena's Sanjay Pawar and BJP's Dhananjay Mahadik for the sixth seat.
To get elected third candidate, the BJP will have to work hard, while the MVA who has lesser votes than BJP will have to take more effort to get its fourth candidate elected.
