KANPUR: The day temperature shot up to 45 degree Celsius on Saturday. This was four degrees more than the normal value. This was for the first time this summer season that the day temperature touched a high of 45 degrees. In May, on several occasions, day temperature went past 44 degrees but it never touched 45 degree Celsius. On May 15 and 20, maximum temperature was 44.8 degree Celsius. On May 13, the day temperature was 44.5 degrees Celsius. On May 19, temperature recorded was 44 degree Celsius.
In the past few days, the temperature was hovering between 40 and 43 degrees. By the end of May, the temperature dipped below 40 degrees which came as a huge relief to people. The
Met department of CSA university on Saturday stated that there will be no relief from scorching heat weather conditions in next few days and hot winds will blow across the region. Met stated that hot winds may blow Delhi, NCR, Kanpur region, North Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature recorded on Saturday was 25 degree Celsius, which was about 2.4 degrees less than normal value.
