Bihar: MBBS exam of Aryabhatta Knowledge University cancelled due to paper leak

The inquiry committee would also suggest means to stop recurrence of any such incidence in future.
PATNA: The final MBBS examination of Aryabhatta Knowledge University held at the local B N College centre on Friday has been cancelled by the university's examination board due to the reported paper leak.
The examination board of AKU, at its meeting held here on Saturday under the chairmanship of vice-chancellor S P Singh, decided to cancel the examination as the question paper of surgery had gone viral well before the commencement of the examination. A re-examination in the paper would be held at the same centre on June 13.
A three-member committee consisting of the university's medicine faculty dean Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, management faculty dean S D Singh and education faculty dean Vandana Kumari has been asked to probe the entire incidence of paper leak and submit its report to the university at the earliest. The inquiry committee would also suggest means to stop recurrence of any such incidence in future.
AKU registrar Rakesh Kumar Singh said, "Persons found guilty in the course of inquiry would be identified and the university would initiate stern action against them."
On Friday well before the commencement of MBBS Part II examination at the B N College centre one suspicious candidate was caught by the college authorities trying to help some examinees by leaking the question paper through his WhatsApp message.
B N College principal also wrote a letter to the AKU authorities expressing his inability to conduct the MBBS examination any further due to rampant use of unfair means in the examination.
