Kidnap threat from Lawrence gang, school owner says

Gurgaon: The owner of a private school in Farrukhnagar’s Bhangrola filed a complaint alleging that a man claiming to be from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang called him on Friday evening and threatened to kidnap him on Monday. Police have registered an FIR and initiated a probe.
Lawrence Bishnoi has been in the news after the gruesome killing of singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
According to the school owner Jaipal Yadav, he received a call at 7.39pm and the caller hurled abuses at him while threatening to kidnap him. “I asked him the reason behind the threat, but he said he will tell me on Monday when he will kidnap me. After this, he disconnected the call,” as he told police.
Later, he tried dialling the number from which he received the call, but it was switched off. “It is my humble request to you to please protect my life,” said a scared Yadav to the police.
Police said it's difficult to say whether the call was really from a gang member or someone trying to create fear by posing as one.
However, based on the complaint, the caller has been booked under IPC Section 506 (criminal intimidation). Cops said they are tracing the number from which Yadav received the call.
