Kolkata: Firm loses data in cyberattack

KOLKATA: Cyber experts have asked all companies to install proper antivirus in computers, avoid using download sites like Torrentz2, ensure that flash drives, USB and files are scanned before use and share only a folder rather than the entire hard disk to prevent being crippled by a ransomware attack.
It followed an online attack in the office of a leading advertising firm that is suspected to have faced an RRCC ransomware attack in which 22 computers were hacked on Friday and files of over 1,500GB got compromised.
