UP man held for kidnapping Dabolim minor

VASCO: Vasco police arrested Jaffer Qadri, a native of Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly kidnapping a 14-year-old girl from Dabolim.
Vasco PI Kapil Nayak said in the complaint, the father of the minor said that the incident occurred on May 30.
Soon, the police began a search operation and found that Qadri had taken the girl to Dahanu in Navi Mumbai. A team led by PSI Rohan Nageshkar left for Navi Mumbai and with assistance from the local police, arrested Qadri and rescued the minor girl.
Nayak said the accused has been brought to Vasco police station and a case has been registered under provisions of the Indian Penal Code and Goa Children’s Act.
