Ex-MLA is new member of Tobacco Board

Mysuru: Former MLA HC Basvaraju has been appointed as member of Tobacco Board for a period of three years. He will represent growers of tobacco, according to a notification from the Union ministry of commerce and industry.
He is one among four individuals who have been appointed to the board.
The senior BJP leader had represented Periyapatna segment, which is one of the major tobacco producers in India.
