Bihar: Man found dead with acid burn

BIHARSHARIF: Unidentified miscreants killed a man by thrashing and pouring acid on him Thursday night. The deceased was identified as Mukesh Kumar of village Beldhanna under Chandi police police station area in Nalanda district. His partially burned body with injury marks by blunt objects was recovered from a field near Gaudapar village under the same police station area on Friday morning.
He was accused of firing at a co-villager and had come out of jail on bail a few months ago. His father Vijay Kumar is a home guard jawan posted at Deepnagar police station in the district.
Police sources said Mukesh went for fishing in a nearby pond on Thursday evening. Bloodstain was found near the partially burned body. They said acid was poured on the body after death to hide his identity.
Chandi police station SHO Abhay Kumar said an FIR was lodged in this connection.
