Massive fire breaks out in Sadar Bazar furniture godown, doused after 10 hours

Rajkot: The fire that broke out in a furniture godown in Sadar Bazar of Rajkot could be controlled after 10 long hours of hard labour by the fire brigade. The 70-year-old godown located on the two floors was full of wood and plywood material, said the firefighters.
According to the fire brigade, inflammable substance fell on the wood kept at the Harshad furniture mart that specializes in office furniture and a sudden spark turned into a major fire. A portion of the furniture godown building had to be removed using earth movers to control the fire. The fire brigade personnel could finally the douse the blaze at around 5.30pm. tnn
