Congress using cops to harass our legislators, says Rajasthan BJP

State BJP chief Satish Poonia
JAIPUR: State BJP on Friday accused the ruling Congress of harassing its MLAs through the law enforcement agencies in order to influence the Rajya Sabha polls scheduled on June 10.
BJP state president Satish Poonia posted a video of Ramganj Mandi MLA Madam Dilawar alleging that police personnel are following him and violating his privacy without holding any document. He tweeted, “Look at the government’s dictatorship. Fearing defeat in the Rajya Sabha, they are the snooping and laying siege of the MLAs in the name of security!!”
He further accused Gehlot of alluring MLAs by gifts to influence them. “Gehlot is making tempting offers, promising favour and gifts or threatening of reopening old files of the MLAs. Whatever the outcome of the election, you have lost morally, Mr Chief Minister,” said Poonia.
Commenting on the issue, Dilawar said police are harassing MLAs at New Aravalli Enclave where 104 MLA families are living. “Police are treating us like we are criminals. Every time we are walking in or out police questioning us is akin to harassment. It is not about BJP MLAs, even BSP and Congress MLAs are subjected to the ill-treatment by the CM Gehlot.”
